Gem Socketing[edit | edit source]
Armor Gems are another unique concept to Silver Springs Survival. Armor Gems can be Socketed to almost any piece of armor at the Arcanum. To socket gems, the player must simply right click the Arcanum with the Armor Gem they want to use, then right click the Arcanum with the piece of armor to socket the gem into it. The player will always have the individual gem’s buff so long as the player is wearing that piece of armor. All armor pieces have 5 gem slots by default, and there are 6 gems available to obtain.
Gems of Preservation increase the armor rating of the socketed armor by 1 armor point, maxing out at Diamond quality. Does not consume a gem slot.
Gems of Fortitude increase the armor toughness of the socketed armor by 2 points, limited to 1 Gem of Fortitude per armor piece, mimicking diamond quality. Does not consume a gem slot.
Gem of Tenacity increases knockback resistance by 15%. Consumes a gem slot.
Gem of Haste increases attack speed by 5%. Consumes a gem slot.
Gem of Agility increases movement speed by 5%. Consumes a gem slot.
Gem of Vigor increases the player’s health by 1 (half a heart). Consumes a gem slot.
There are multiple ways to obtain Armor Gems. The MobArena Ruined Pantheon rewards the player with three random gems when the player kills the boss by their own hand. The Claw Machine on the Boardwalk is also able to offer Crusted Gems as a reward, which when cleaned will reveal itself as a random gem!
